Local Design Firm Gains Recognition

ATLANTA, GA — Vextrum Studios has gained recognition as the company that created the branding and logo design for the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority's newest facility, the FanPlex™. Located near Turner Field, the center features an 18-hole themed miniature golf course, playground and computer arcade. It is expected to be a central location for family fun and excitement providing information and entertainment for sports fans.

The 11,000 square foot facility is a place for people of all ages to visit. Inside, visitors will be able to play video games, surf the net and partake of the delicious food and snacks offered in the food court. Plus, there will be a playground for the little ones to explore and enjoy.

Vextrum Studios located in Atlanta, GA, the design firm specializes in branding, web development, interaction design, and 3D visualization. "At first, we started by positioning ourselves as a graphic design firm," says Terry Robinson, General Manager. "But as technology advanced, so did our skills."

Vextrum Studios has gained an industry reputation for producing creative web sites and graphic designs. Its' list of clients include major corporations such as Philips Design ATL, Coca-Cola, Home Depot, and Disney. Locally, the company has created designs for the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority, S1 Corporation, and Jetaire Technology.

"We were very impressed with the branding concepts created by the Vextrum team," says Jim Nicolow of Lord, Aeck, Sargent, the architectural firm that designed the facility for FanPlex. "Their creativity and attention to their clients' needs demonstrates their level of professional dedication."

A combined business history of over 17 years experience and revenue reaching the quarter million dollar mark has proven to be a winner. Terry Robinson and Kendall Ware joined forces in 1999 to form Vextrum Studios. Their goal was simple, to create solutions for their client's graphic needs. "We recognize our strengths and use them to our benefit," says Kendall Ware, Creative Director. "Terry's strength lies in managing and sales, whereas I focus on web development and design."

Both men have formal art training, however they proclaim their talent is from 'OTJT' - On the Job Training. Technology applications such as flash, shockwave, and 2D/3D animation has opened the door for the creation of dynamic web sites and print applications. "We provide the total package," says Robinson. "We design the logo to establish the look and feel, from there, we carry that look over to the web site, to brochures, business cards, whatever the client needs."
